Maureen's Children is a nation-wide group of witches that seeks, among other things, to guide those inexperienced in magical abilities, as well as speak out for witch rights in North America.
During The Days of Salem a group of frightened witches followed Maureen Laurel Descouteaux, perhaps the most famous witch-rights activist in America, and formed the origins of Maureen's Children. Today, the group honors and carries on Mother Maureen's message of love, care, and generosity as we try to educate the North American population about magic and what being a witch actually means.
Maureen's Children Centers can be found in every state, and each center offers shelter, free courses, and guidance counseling for witches young and old.
While Muareen's Children predominantly aides witches, we also know that to be part of the national community, we must embrace those who are not magically inclined. These men, women, and children are welcome to any Maureen's Children Center to learn more about, and work beside, their brothers and sisters. Our group also provides charity work throughout the country, participating in home-building projects, food drives, fundraisers, and many more projects benefitting the national community.
We know that being a witch today is a hard battle against prejudice, but together we are strong and can bring about a change!
